Adult Swim Singles has shared a new song by Philadelphia lifegazers Nothing as the thirty-sixth and final entry in the 2021 program. “This Man’s Gift” features additional vocals from “heaven metal” progenitor Midwife and was recorded during the band’s current tour (find remaining tour dates below), with the mix finalized earlier this week while the band were decamped at a retirement community in Florida. The new song follows a pair of highly acclaimed releases from the band, last year’s barnstorming The Great Dismal (which Pitchfork called "an existential commentary on Nothing’s career") and this October’s companion mini album The Great Dismal B-Sides, sharing those releases’ tightwire act of threading tender melodies through highly textured sonics that seamlessly translate the difficulty of real life into musical form.
